THE GAMEBOY SYNTH

Last year I experimented with building an 8bit synth using an Arduino and six potentiometers all nicely housed in a compact case. I wondered if I could then combine it with the audio output from a Nintendo Gameboy whilst it’s running the basic music sequencer that comes bundled with the Gameboy camera.
It’s nice to share ideas, which is exactly what I did with this particular project. It’s even nicer when projects get featured as in the case of Makers Moments over on Instagram. To date, the project’s video has been viewed nearly 52 thousand times! And with the nicest comments from people all over the world just goes to show that the maker community is thriving and welcoming as ever.
