HOW TO MAKE A PENNY SHOOTER

Image
This has to be one of my favourite lo-tech projects and in involves working with a material that I just love - cardboard. This little project has evolved over time, and was one of my very first YouTube video tutorials from years ago. I'm extremely pleased to see that since it was uploaded it has now reached over 11,500 views which just highlights the fact that video editing and fancy titles don't make a video popular, it's the idea behind it. I still remember hastily scribbling a paper-based guide on how to make one for viewers to download after they were requesting it. A fun project with fond memories.

FROM THE ARCHIVE: DRAWN TO THE SCREEN

Image
An old project that recently bubbled up to the surface... "My slow burning project of last year has finally taken shape in the form of  Drawn to the Screen , where you can download and make your our working cardboard television. The idea is simply to draw on the paper ‘film’ strip before winding around the pencils. The drawings come to life as they pass by the screen. As all the dot work from previous art works started to give me headaches, I’ve been looking at other means of finishing pieces as well as imaginative ways of delivery and I think the Cardboard TV is a good one. The site has recently been mentioned by a couple of my favourite artists and as a result popularity is growing.  Click here  to check the site out and maybe make yourself the star of the show."
